Megs Morley is an artist and curator based in the West of Ireland. Her art practice combines elements of curation,
art making and writing and is primarily concerned with the intersection of documentation in the creation of cultural
and mass memory with specific regards to forms of arts practice that emphasise a social and public engagement.
In 2006, she initiated The Irish Artist-led Archive, an archive housing documentation relating to over 70 Irish artist-led
initiatives, as part of on-going examination into artist-led and collective practices in Ireland over the last 30 years.Most recently she was the Co-Curator of the Documentation Archive of the DORM exhibition (the Model, Sligo) through which she curated archive materials and documents, works and films by international artists collectives from 1948 to the present. Tom Flanagan is a visual artist, curator, filmmaker and lecturer in Fine Art and digital media working with the Burren College of Art, the Co Galway VEC and the Galway Arts Centre. He holds an Honours degree in fine art and an MA in Visual Art practices at IADT Dunlaoghaire. Tom is a founding member of the Galway based Artists led initiative 'Enso' and is currently Co-Director and founder of 'Different Directions' Experimental Film Festival in Galway www.differentdirections.ie. |
